Schengen visas allow people to stay in the Schengen area for up to 90 days every six-month period.
Since November 2013 Norway is representing Germany in matters concerning applications for Schengen visas.
Therefore, residents of Malawi who intend to apply for visas to visit Germany should contact the Norway Visa Application Centre at Corporate Mall, Chilambula Road, Lilongwe.
Please note: From 1 August 2019, applications for a Schengen visa from Malawi will be sent to the Norwegian Embassy in Pretoria, South Africa. Applicants should therefore account for an additional 2-4 days for sending the application documents between the VFS Application Centre in Lilongwe and Pretoria as well as an additional courier fee of 23 Euro. It is highly recommended that applications are submitted well in advance, at least 4 weeks prior to the planned trip.
